Here at Pilgrim Children's Center we utilize the app "Learning Genie" to collect observations of the children and to assess the child's progress during their time here. This portfolio follows them as they change classrooms to provide a continuous assessment of the child. More information about Learning Genie can be found on their website. Teachers will collect evidence in the form of videos, photos, audio recordings and text observations.

These assessments are based on the Desired Results Development Profile (DRDP) created by the California Department of Education. There is one version for infants and toddlers and one version for preschool aged children. We will use the correct version for your child based on their age and abilities.

Children who enroll at the beginning of the year will receive an initial 30 day assessment and two 90 day assessments throughout the year. These assessments will be provided to you in a mini-conference.
