2-3 year old classrooms
Our 2-3 year old classrooms promote independence, foster curiosity and introduce appropriate social behaviors through child centered and teacher directed activities. Typically at this stage of development, 2 year olds can be egocentric and temperamental. Due this developmental stage, our 2 year old teachers are very skilled at teaching and reinforcing developmentally appropriate social emotional skills, such as turn-taking, asking for help or asking a friend to play. This classroom uses age appropriate creative curriculum that centers on language development, cognitive growth and social emotional development. The 2 year old program also focuses on self help skills such as toileting, hand washing, independent feeding and other individualized self help skills. Daily reports describing toileting, eating and rest time are available upon request.
